Will our hair grow after death?

I have heard some people saying that, our hair keeps growing even after we die?
How is that possible?Is the hair growth related to our brain?or is it a involuntary mechanism?

Hair continues to grow for 2-3 days afterwards. This is due to the fact that the decomposing body cells close to the follicle are still providing nutrients to the follicle cells. There are variables, such as climate (hot and dry preserves well and frozen preserves the best) but hair, if I recall correctly, can last for centuries, if not exposed to a warm, moist climate.
