Why India seems to be a proprietory only for Gandhi family ?
Every memorial or internationally recognized centres are named after any of the Gandhi family (say Nehru Stadium, Indira Gandhi Intl. Airport, etc). Only one Gandhi fought for India but there are people innumerous like Netaji, Tagore, Bhagat Singh, Azad, Mangal Pandey. We hardly seem to remember these Gentlemen who laid down there life for the pride of the country and never compromised on the idealism. Still, we Indians are quite happy in allowing these people to name each and every nook and corner of the country after one Gandhi and another.
How long can we neglect the contribution of the rest of the heroes?
It is not true.May be some important places are behind the name of Gandhi's.But still many places hold name of the others who fought for the independence.Many names are seen in naming streets,schools,colleges and other public places.
who said that the proprietory is given only for Gandhi family ,we can find more proprietory given to others also like Netaji, Tagore, Bhagat Singh, Azad, Mangal Pandey,we can find Many street named after them and even we can find statue of these leaders on most of the areas in india which still reminds their presence ,these are great proprietory for them .we sault these leaders for thier sacrifices.
I think Yes. Almost all memorials and other valuable recognized national centers are named by any of the Gandhi family. Surely Gandhiji fought for the freedom of India. But all other gandhis including Indhira Gandhi & Rajiv Gandhi sponsored nothing to India. They did only their own duties for their respected chair. The same is executed by almost all prime minsters or other top leaders of India. But their names didn't specify any where. So Gandhi family proprietorship is not reasonable.
