I am planning to surrender my Bsnl telephone and broadband connection permanently. I wanted to know the procedure for it. Anyone kindly explain how it can be done.

For surrendering a BSNL Landline/Broadband, you will have to first visit your telephone exchange and return the instruments.ie. The telephone set and modem if both were provided by BSNL [rented Modem].
They will give you a receipt stating you have returned the instruments.
After this you will have to visit the BSNL main office in your area and give a written request for the cancellation of services along with the receipt received from exchange.
That's all, you will receive any deposit you have paid and they will close the connection for you.
It seems the deposit amount will be sent to the landline address as a Cheque. Do keep the original of the receipt you get from the exchange after returning the phone/broadband. You will need to give a copy of this at the main office.
