How can I know about base ball ?

I used to watch base ball and all other games in my college time. But I couldn't understand the laws and regulations of base ball. When is completing a run in base ball ? How many types of runs there in base ball ? (like four & six in cricket). When a batsman get out in base ball ?

Baseball is played in an enclosed baseball park with four bases by two teams of nine players each. The winner of the game is the team that out scores the opponent team. If a batter succeeds in hitting the ball, he then runs from base to base, without begin tag out. A run is considered scored when a runner completes this process legally without being ‘out’. There are 9 innings in a standard baseball game, with each innings having 6 outs — 3 outs for every team. Baseball rules state that a minimum of one officiating party, the umpire, must officiate during a game of baseball. This may extend up to six in accordance with the importance of the game and the league playing and usually, the number of umpires in major league game is four.
